Watching these videos is the next best thing since I can't ride roller coasters anymore 😢. I had a stroke 2 years ago, and it seriously affected my equilibrium.

I'm glad I got the chance to experience the elevator version. the skeletons beneath a glass floor terrified 10yo me, but they left a lasting impression that I remember fondly to this day. Now at 40 yo, I'm also glad they returned the whale entrance as that was a classic entrance, even though not technically an original piece. the only thing i don't like about the current ark is a lot of the strange animatronics inside are now gone and replaced with realistic looking animals. I remember 2 "brothers" with huge heads and huge noses rocking back and forth sawing a log. I wish i could see footage of them again as they were so bizarre.

LOVE Kennywood!! Been going there since I was a kid! Fright Night is so fun but cold! Will never ride the jackrabbit again. Last time I rode it my seat belt unbuckled and I couldn’t get it back on. Though I was gonna die!

Was riding this yesterday, someone apparently took off their shoe, because on the first bunny hill, i saw someones shoe fly past. (was in back row/best row) I couldn't catch it tho...

did they get rid of Thunderbolt It is the one that drops immediately and you went right through it on Phantoms Revenge Why not include it? I went last a while ago before Steel Curtain and Skyrocket existed and when Phantom did but with a loop like what was done at Kings Island with Son of Beast before the whole ride was destroyed I am glad to have rode both before they were changed/destroyed I want to go back to ride mostly Steel Curtain but the website says it is down all 2024 to make it more safe which sucks but I get safety first OCEA and all Rockwell Automation rammed that concept into my heads They cared about safety except when it came to Covid then they made us work to make parts for hospitals where old people died anyways My grandma died in 2020 and my gpa on my dads side but my moms mom was from Washington PA so this park though not great at all compared to many others has a special nostalgia in my heart My family was very cheap and loved the idea of a park where you can actually bring in your OWN food and they even have a picnic area in the park devoted to that concept My grandma could get in free as well and watch us enjoy the rides while she just enjoyed being with us and walking I miss her and this park for what it reminds me of in my fond memories I cant wait to see her again in heaven

I remember back in the 70s going there as a Young kid and my grandma was the only one that would ride it with us . She was a ship builder during WW 2 up there. She was tough .Good times!

I'm getting old because with the Sky Rocket and Steel Curtain all I could think was "Still mad they got rid of the Turnpike and Log Jammer".

I have two stories to tell about this ride! *Story 1* : My friend (who I’ll call Travis idk that’s not his name but for the story) rode this and really wanted me to. I was terrified, but he was guilt tripping me so I didn’t really have a choice. I got in line; there’s photo evidence of me crouched down in terror. We waited a half hour then got our seats. Seat number 34 was mine. My mom snapped a photo before we got our restrains down. I was looking down in complete anger. Travis was smiling happily. Shortly, our retrains lowered. This is where I was shaking. My mom said,” smile!” And took another picture. This time, I was making direct eye contact with the camera. If you look into my eyes you can see the fear. My face was all flushed and pale with a strong grip on the restraint handles. Travis, once again, was smiling. The ride began after a few minutes. I was fine until we started to get up high. I was very unfortunate that time and I was always looking down at the ground each time the ride plummeted down. I got a view of the sky a few times tho. This was the first time in years where I said the words,”Get me off!” I meant it. My eyes were welling up with tears. The force and weightlessness was amazing! I felt alive!! Alive but terrified. After what felt like years, the ride ended. I was pretty wobbly afterwards which is rare for me. Travis was laughing at me the entire time because of how much I was screaming. Not gonna lie, I would be laughing at myself too. I had lots of fun, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to face this widow again. Until *story 2* happened. This is a year separate btw. My friend (who I’ll call Emu for the sake of the story) and I were both in line to ride this. Line wasn’t that long; probably 15 mins if even that. Emu ain’t a chicken when it comes to rides. She’s rode some pretty intense stuff. We’re waiting anxiously. We watch the ride go higher, higher, and higher. With the height increasing, so do the screams. I look at her and go,”Do you wanna back out? I’m scared.” She replied with,”Not right now” A few seconds pass before I look at Emu again. I say,” You sure? I know I rode this, but I’m now getting the feeling already just watching.” She thinks for a moment before ducking under the rails. We both left. My mom told us that was quick but we didn’t even go on. Sorry mom! I honestly might go on the next time I visit, but I’m a chicken when it comes to this. I’ve rode some insane things, but I can’t handle this LMAO! Thanks for reading my stories!!

I was disappointed when they ditched the inversions but they did keep the best parts. The lift, lift hill and second hill are iconic. I've ridden a lot of coasters but this one gives me chills thinking about it! After riding it over and over I'd be laying in bed and my head/body still felt like I was dropping down that second hill!
